In life, most of us have suffered through many traumatic instances, such as the absence of a mother or father being absent during childhood and as you grew older, that anxiety has now turned into fear of others leaving you too. The sad thing about it, many of us rarely seek the attention or necessary outlets to help us deal with our past, less known the fear and anxiety offset by it.

Video: Wednesday’s Word! – Bigger Place for Office Space? Gurrlll Bye!!

Image above giphy/girlbye

You know, I went on a tangent last week – I actually had something else in mind to post but after I got the – Gurrl Bye feeling and look from God.

lol-girl-bye

I thought I’d share what dropped in my spirit about how we misuse the things that God has already given to us. The things that are already in our possession; you know those you prayed so earnestly for and now that you got it ——- Well, let’s just say the newness has worn off and now you’re asking for more….but should God be obligated to give us more, even though we hadn’t been faithful or used the first thing he gave us? That was my DILEMMA! YIKES!

Here’s today’s video below, I pray it encourage and motivate you. If you like it, please share it! Let’s uplift one another!!

(I’m hoping the music isn’t too loud – still working on getting those editing credentials, please bear with me…lol….smh)

Video: My Favorite Childhood Memory…Was…

Well, here it is Ya’ll – my last topic of the Q&A series “So, How “MAY” I Help You?” This was a very fun ride as I enjoyed getting topics from fellow bloggers and writing about them! Some topics were a challenge and caused me to really pull from deep within, such as the one you’ll see today but I was grateful for the challenge and hopefully to those that submitted your topics, I’m hoping that I did them justice.

Most of all I pray that they were an inspiration to those that read them. Please feel free to give me a topic at any time of things that YOU would like for me to talk about or discuss right here on the blog – I don’t talk about politics or Scientology but everything else is cool. I’m not an expert but I’ve had many hurts, habits and hang-up as well as made a slew of mistakes – so my goal for my page has always been to be transparent about those processes by writing about my shortcomings so that I may help those who may be suffering or experiencing the same hurt/pain – by spreading my light so that they may spark their own.

Any-who, I thought I’d take this last topic to video to close out this topic session with a BANG! It’s my first YTUBE video on my regular page. PLEASE BEWARE! I’m not good at the editing, special lighting and all that – It’s just my phone, however; I did look up a couple of editing apps, some I incorporated in the video above, in which you’ll see throughout – but please forgive any errors. So, without further ado, above is my story of: My Favorite Childhood Memory – topic submitted by poetic blogger Understand546.

See ya in the next Post!!-1

EnSpired: MOM, To The Rescue!

photo above courtesy of boredpanda

When Rhonda Whitney attended the talent show at her daughter’s school, I’m sure her hopes and intentions were to film her daughter performing and while she probably did – the next talent to come to the stage; made her unexpected video, go VIRAL!

That viral sensation was Makayla Ferrell, whom was also in the talent show; but, it’s not what Makayla song that went viral, but the person that came on stage to help her belt out the lyrics to Andra Day‘s “Rise Up” that got tears to flowing and a standing ovation.

When Makayla’s voice began to fade as she began to stumble over the song lyrics, there came a familiar voice from the crowd to help Makayla out; it was the voice of her mom, Shaye Washington! but Washington didn’t just stop there, seeing her daughter in distress; she immediately rose up and continued to sing as she made her way from the audience to the stage, helping her finish the song.

Talent shows are scary and mind-boggling as it is and it takes tremendous courage to get up in front of an audience and endure the stares from teachers, parents and your peers, all of whom are now focused on you and your every word. Shaye Washington sensed her daughter was going into a panic and therefore; put on her mom cape and sprung into action.

“I saw her struggling and getting ready to get frustrated so I just immediately stepped in. From where I was standing it looked like my child was asking for help, but just not verbally” – Shaye Washington

The heroic move of the mom, brought tears to Rhonda Whitney’s eyes – she was so moved by Washington’s actions, she went home and posted the video to her FB page.

Washington, whom didn’t see the post until the following day – Awoke to a surprise on her own FB page.

Shaye Washington

Since Rhonda’s posting – the video has not only went viral but has received over 100k shares and has been liked, loved and wowed over 200,000 times!! You can view the video below but I must warn you – you’re gonna want to grab the tissues.

In Lieu of mothers day week/weekend, may we all go and embrace the women that were our first role models – Thanks Shaye for being one of those amazing SHE-RO’S!
