Everything is DADA?, NO MAMA! According to Jimmy Fallon

Two years ago actor, comedian and talk show host Jimmy Fallon wrote a book entitled “Everything is DADA” in which I’m sure most dads were elated about as that seems to be the first word a baby says when they learn how to talk, in which would make us MAMA’s want to give DADA the side-eye. I mean where was DADA at 3am when the diaper needed changing and where was he when you kept me awake for hours last night and where was DADA when it was feeding time?, okay – so maybe I had a couple of flashbacks for a moment….

Anyway, so after his first book gained much success including being a New York times bestseller; the Tonight Show host came back to pay tribute to us well deserved MAMA’s. Fallon whom has two daughters of his own Winnie Rose, 3 and Frances Cole, 2 were his inspirations for writing both books.

Per People, Fallon’s first book “Everything is DADA” was written because older daughter Winnie’s first words was Mama, so to change up the game a little the actor wrote the book in hopes to persuade his younger daughter Frances to say DADA:

“Who knows, it might work,” he joked. “I’m not a doctor or a child psychologist, but I think if this works and everyone’s babies’ first words are ‘Dada,’ then maybe there should be a wing in a university dedicated to the science behind it.” Jimmy Fallon

Everything is MAMA will not only teach little ones the word Mama or even how to say it, but it’s also a picture book in which displays a Mama teaching baby that everything is indeed not mama, but other words as well. In the book everything the baby picks up it states “MAMA?” and Mama corrects the baby by stating what the object really is. It’s a beautiful book with a heart wrenching twist at the end, you’ll want to grab the tissues; trust me. And yes, I’m a big crier – it doesn’t take much…lol.

This is a book that MAMA, DADA and BABY will all enjoy or as Jimmy says:

If you have a 3-year-old, they’ll love the pictures. And if you have a 1-year-old, they’ll love how it tastes.” Jimmy Fallon
